1. Requirements gathering

Requirements gathering is a crucial step in understanding the client's needs, media requirements, scope of work, and estimating the platforms and budget. I conducted 6-8 rounds of phone discussions and online meetings before scheduling a face-to-face meeting. The client requested a website with a backend for content management, dynamic features for handling services, content, and leads, and an SEO-optimized backend for the marketing team. The site will include sections such as Gallery, Blog, Careers, and Booking. Based on these requirements and budget, we committed to delivering a custom WordPress site with a tailored UI design within 45 days.

2. Research & Analysis

A thorough analysis was conducted to understand the competitive landscape and user flow, including key UI considerations. This involved examining competitors’ websites to identify their strengths, weaknesses, and unique features, which helped in recognizing industry standards and opportunities for differentiation. We detailed the user journey to ensure a seamless experience from entry to conversion, focusing on optimizing navigation paths. Additionally, we evaluated UI design trends and best practices to create a modern, intuitive, and visually appealing interface, considering aspects such as color schemes, typography, and layout. Essential features and functionalities were assessed to meet user needs and business goals while ensuring usability and accessibility.

3. Wireframe

Following the thorough analysis, a detailed wireframe was developed and shared with the client. This wireframe incorporated insights from the competitive analysis, user flow mapping, and UI design considerations. After presenting the wireframe, I conducted a final review with the client, addressing any feedback and making necessary adjustments. Once the wireframe was finalized and approved, I proceeded with designing the user interface, ensuring that it aligned with the agreed-upon features and design elements.

4. UI Design

Following the thorough analysis, a detailed wireframe was developed and shared with the client. This wireframe incorporated insights from the competitive analysis, user flow mapping, and UI design considerations. After presenting the wireframe, we conducted a final review with the client, addressing any feedback and making necessary adjustments. Once the wireframe was finalized and approved, I proceeded with designing the user interface, ensuring that it aligned with the agreed-upon features and design elements.

5. Web Development

After incorporating the client’s amendments and finalizing the user interface design, we proceeded with the next phases of development. The frontend development began, focusing on translating the approved UI design into a fully functional website. This involved coding the visual elements, ensuring responsiveness, and integrating interactive features as per the design specifications. Simultaneously, backend setup was initiated. This phase involved configuring the server environment, setting up databases, and developing the backend functionalities required for content management, dynamic features, and SEO optimization. Both frontend and backend development were executed in parallel to ensure seamless integration and alignment with the project requirements.

6. User Testing

During the testing phase of the project, I conducted functional testing to ensure all features worked correctly, usability testing to evaluate user experience, and compatibility testing across various browsers and devices. I also performed performance testing to check load times and efficiency, security testing to identify vulnerabilities, SEO testing to ensure proper implementation of SEO features, and content testing for accuracy and formatting. Any identified bugs were promptly fixed to ensure a seamless and high-quality user experience.

7. Client Training

For client training, I provided comprehensive guidance on using the website’s backend and content management system. This included demonstrating how to manage and update content, handle service and lead management, and utilize SEO tools effectively. I also covered best practices for maintaining the site and addressing common issues. The training was tailored to the client’s specific needs and aimed at ensuring they felt confident and self-sufficient in managing their website.
