1. Requirements gathering session

Operations were previously based on marketplace stores, the new requirement was to develop a comprehensive website. Primary objectives revolved around managing scaling orders, optimizing traffic handling, and ensuring dynamic SEO capabilities. Additionally, they needed the website to support seamless product entry, integrate with paid marketing tools, and incorporate logistics APIs. In terms of UI design, requirements included prominently highlighting offers, intuitive search features, sorting options for pet categories and brands, and the ability to select sizes. Furthermore, features such as recently viewed items, an easy add-to-cart function, and chat support were sought to enhance customer interaction.

2. Research & Analysis

Following the client brief, competitor research and analysis were conducted to inform the UI design process. This involved studying the designs and features of competitors' websites to identify best practices, areas for improvement, and opportunities for differentiation.

3. Wireframe & Prototyping

After completing competitor research and analysis, the next step was to plan wireframing and prototyping. This involved creating initial layouts and mockups to visualize the structure and functionality of the website before moving into the design and development phases.

4. UI Style Guide & Design

Once the wireframes and prototypes were finalized, the UI style guide creation process began. This involved establishing consistent design elements such as colors, typography, icons, buttons, and other visual components to ensure a cohesive and polished look and feel throughout the website. The style guide was then created and shared with the team to maintain design consistency across all pages and elements of the website.

5. Web Development

After receiving approval for the wireframes and UI style guide, the UI design creation process commenced. This involved translating the wireframes into high-fidelity designs while adhering to the established UI style guide. The focus was on creating visually appealing layouts and incorporating the approved design elements to ensure consistency and coherence across the entire website.

6. User Testing

Conducted thorough website testing to ensure top security and identify vulnerabilities. The process involved assessing user flows for smooth navigation and optimal user experience, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding user data and privacy.

7. Asset transfer & Client Training

After finalizing the deployment process, organized thorough client training and handover sessions to ensure a smooth transition to website management. These sessions covered content updates, user engagement strategies, analytics interpretation, and basic troubleshooting. Additionally, we provided detailed documentation and support materials to assist the client in effectively managing and optimizing the website's performance after launch.
